S6 delivers incredible workflow acceleration, highly responsive handling, and deep DAW integration — all built on proven technology, trusted by top audio professionals in the most demanding production environments. The result: exceptional, dynamic performance that lets you deliver the best sounding mix possible on time, every time. Improve cost efficiency by customising the surface to include only the modules you need. Mix faster and easier with intelligently designed controls, touchscreen, and intuitive layout.
See your mix in a whole new way with detailed visual feedback and professional metering. Scale the system from mid to large format to match your workflow, with room to grow. Access and manipulate multiple aspects of your mix through the master touchscreen.
Configure, scale and reconfigure the surface easily over an Ethernet network. Compact CSM modules allow for more functionality in a smaller form factor than the S6 M40, while the ability to add up to four display modules is ideal for anyone who relies on metering and visual feedback.
S4 users can install up to two dedicated S6 knob modules as focus knobs. This means it's easy to spread out all the controls for your plug-ins to make detailed parameter adjustments. As well as supporting monitor modules that were previously only available with the M40, the S4 supports joystick modules for ergonomic access to panning control whether static or automated to speed up mixing in surround and immersive formats.
Users can also add a Master Post Module if they want to emulate a traditional film monitor panel as part of their feature film mixing workflow. While all S6 consoles require on-site chassis assembly, the S4 comes with a pre-built and loaded chassis, which makes life more convenient and decreases deployment time.
Upgrading the S4 as your setup grows is a lot less intimidating than previous models, and integration with new modules is far quicker and easier — just make sure that you purchase a model with at least one spare bay so that you can plug in new modules as needed.
The Pro Tools S3 control surface is a streamlined, versatile mixing solution that gives sound engineers the powerful, intelligent control they need to work more ergonomically and efficiently, create the highest-quality mixes and expand their mixing capabilities.
When used together, the Pro Tools S3 and Pro Tools software deliver the most streamlined, economical, and tightly integrated approach to mixing and recording in smaller-sized studios or mobile settings.
By combining the traditional console layout with the proven advancements of the S6, the S3 delivers highly intuitive recording, editing, and mixing control — along with the power and efficiency to meet fast turnaround times. The compact form factor fits into any space, making S3 ideal for small project studios or on-the-go music and post mixing.
Engineers can customise the surface by creating custom channel layouts, all recallable at any time. S3 can switch between two applications with ease, giving users the choice to work however they want, and the capability to take on the largest, most demanding mixes.
Touch strip for easier access to transport controls. Dozens of dedicated buttons and switches for navigation, automation, control assignment, and software control. Motorised long throw faders and push-top, touch-sensitive knobs provide a tactile link to your mix, while Soft Keys enable you to perform complex tasks like Bank, Mute, Nudge and Record-enable with a single press.
Eight OLED screens give you all the status information you need, or you can combine the S1 with Pro Tools Dock and an iPad for detailed visual feedback on larger mixes. The size and price point of the S1 make it a great choice for multi-purpose agencies and facilities, where audio projects need to be of high quality but are not currently a massive percentage of your work — it gives you just enough to create a complex, professional mix without taking up too much of your space or budget.
Simply link up to four S1 units together to give yourself a total of 32 faders and knobs. The Control app is a great addition to your S1, offering a large, clear display for everything from track names, parameter values and automation to monitoring and metering. But actually, a huge range of software supports EUCON integration, and you can continue using the S1 if you move projects into Cubase, Ableton, Propellerhead, Logic Adobe Audition and more — even video editing apps like Media Composer and Premiere can be controlled through your S1 interface.
This means that however your studio develops, your S1 will be able to adapt. Both systems demonstrate the philosophy that mixers need the best of physical faders, knobs and switches in conjunction with touchscreen technology for things like fast navigation, metering, and on-screen plug-in control — a true hybrid approach.
When the Dock is paired with Pro Tools S3, you gain complementary and enhanced functionality with the dedicated automation switches, transport controls, weighted aluminium jog wheel, colour-coded Soft Key switches and more. Mixing deadlines have met their match!
A highly requested enhancement, that will also be free to all Pro Tools Control App users, is the colour-mapped Soft Keys larger view. The two rows of LED colour-coded buttons on the Dock change colours and map to the Soft Keys in the smaller view on your iPad lining up directly underneath the matching soft button on screen.
