If not Then reboot. Message 5 of 9. Hi Paul, thank you for your effort in getting a workaround with this crazy audio driver. I did exactly as you were instructing me to do but no sound and no integrated mic was working.
How can we go from here? This mic is important to me because I am working with dragon naturally speaking. Any thoughts, Paul? Regards George. Message 6 of 9. Hi, George. Sorry that trick didn't work. I was hoping it would. It is interesting in a bad way that the audio doesn't work on your PC. I didn't have to do a thing. Message 7 of 9. Hi Paul, thank you for your effort in helping me with this soundmax driver.
I will try the outomatic search option. Again, thank you so far. Message 8 of 9. You're very welcome, George. Unfortunately, I won't be able to help you get the microphone to work.
Level 2. Message 9 of 9. If you require more info, please let me know. Frank4d Retired Trusted Advisor. Joined Sep 10, Messages 9, Do you have this TV capture device?
If so, I would try installing a driver for it. I don't have any kind of tv or video capture device on my system. That is the only yellow! Now I just can't get sound. I've gone over the connections inside the machine and everything seems fine there too. I can't seem to figure this out. Trusted Advisor. Joined May 12, Messages 84, I would install the Pinnacle Systems driver I linked in 2 anyway as it seems that is what Windows wants.
I don't even have a sound card. I have onboard audio. Windows wouldn't let me add that driver you suggested and only says that Windows has determined that I have the best driver right now. There are no other problem areas. I have uninstalled that device that I don't have and it's driver software and am about to do a restart to find out if I can install the driver now.
This is screwy. I restarted my computer and of course it still pops up with "Your hardware configuration has changed. You must reinstall SoundMAX. All normal. I tried scanning for hardware changes and nothing. I'm not a novice with computers, but this is beyond me.
Thanks for your feedback. We tried all of these things but could not get it to load. Finally we found out that I didn't have Sound Max on my computer. We went back and reloaded the sound system that was originally there and finally I had sound. I received a message on my screen this morning when I logged in that says: SoundMax The SoundMax audio driver did not load. Can you help me? This thread is locked.
